58 year old female who underwent gastric bypass surgery in 2010 and subsequently lost over 100 pounds. At the time her consult, the patient complained of fat pockets in the thighs, that are associated with constant discomfort when she performs activities of daily living as well as when she sleeps at night. The patient also stated that the thighs contribute to a problem with her balance. The patient underwent a thighplasty with liposuction. A total of 3,900 grams (9 pounds) of skin and tissue with removed from her bilateral thighs. This was the first procedure of two that will be performed on this patient. She is scheduled for a panniculectomy in the future.
