83 year old female who had a history of 40-pound weight loss. The patient is 5’1″ and weighed 158 pounds at her initial consultation. The skin fold of the panniculus hung over the underlying skin resulting in heat rashes which at times painful. She also had a history of lower back pain. The panniculus weighed her down in the front and affected her balance. She underwent a panniculectomy January 2020 and a total of 2,050 grams of skin and tissue was removed from her abdomen (5lbs).
